Bei ihr handelte es sich um die Auslandsorganisation der Nationalsozialistischen Deutschen Arbeiterpartei. In der NSDAP/AO organisierten sich Reichsdeutsche, die im Ausland lebten und Mitglieder der Partei waren. Zu den Aufgaben der Auslandsorganisation zählte vor allem die ideologische Schulung ihrer Mitglieder. Die Provenienz der Sammlung ist ungeklärt. Ein der Sammlung beiliegendes Dokument weist nach, dass die Unterlagen 1989 oder 1990 in der Region um Valdivia erworben wurden. Der Vorbesitzer veräußerte die Unterlagen scheinbar, welche anschließend kopiert und nach Deutschland gebracht wurden. Die Dokumente entstammen einer größeren Sammlung, die jedoch offenbar nicht vollständig vom Archiv des Fritz Bauer Instituts übernommen wurde.\n\nDie Sammlung NSDAP Auslandsorganisation Chile umfasst nach Erschließung, Entmetallisierung und Umbettung zehn Archiveinheiten mit einem Umfang von insgesamt 0,3 lfd. m. Bei der Bearbeitung durch die Bearbeiterin Sophia Steinmetz im Oktober 2021 wurde eine komplette Neuordnung geschaffen. Der Gesamtbestand gliedert sich in zwei Teilbereiche "Presse" und "Organisation". Der Bereich "Presse" schließt Zeitschriften und Magazine ein, die dem "Movimiento Revolucionario Nacional Socialista" zugeordnet wurden. Der Bereich "Organisation" enthält Unterlagen zur allgemeinen Administration und Organisation der NSDAP Auslandsorganisation Chile, ebenso wie zu Verfahren welche diese betrafen oder zur Durchführung von Aktionen."@de , "The NSDAP-Auslandsorganisation Chile was founded in 1931 and existed until 1945. Citizens of the German Reich living in foreign countries organized themselves in the NSDAP/AO. The organization was especially occupied with the ideological indoctrination of its members. The collection's provenance is unclear. A document accompanying the collection attests that the records were purchased in the region around Valdivia in 1989 or 1990.
