Archiv města Jistebnice

http://lod.ehri-project-test.eu/units/cz-002299-489 an entity of type: RecordSet

The fonds arose from the activities of the town self-government. Initially, the files were stored chronologically according to case numbers. In 1892, the registry was divided into seven subject groups marked with Roman numerals. The files were marked with a registration number, consisting of a Roman numeral, a year and an Arabic numeral. This system was used by the municipality until about 1928. The archives were located at the town hall and after the establishment of the local museum were joined with the museum. After 1950, the separate local archives were created in Jistebnice, but in 1964 it was abolished. The fonds was handed over to the Tábor District Archives and processed in 1964.
The first report about Jistebnice comes from 1262, when it was owned by the Rožmberks. In 1549, Jistebnice was acquired by the Lobkowicz family, and from 1829 it was owned by the Nádherný family from Borutín. The Jewish religious community in Jistebnice existed in the 17th century and after 1930 it was connected with the Tábor Jewish community. Political district: 1850-1855 Sedlec, 1866 Sedlčany, 1880 Tábor. Judicial district: 1866 Sedlec, 1880 Tábor.
