"The fonds contains documents of the municipal self-government and the delegated state administration until 1945 (1953), namely deeds, books, file material, and accounting material. In terms of industrial development, the town of Strakonice was among the important towns of southern Bohemia at the end of the 19th, and also during the 20th century. There were 5 factories producing fezzes, which were owned by the Jewish families of Fürth, Stein, Zucker, and Weil. At the beginning of the 20th century, these factories were merged into a joint-stock company based in Vienna and later in Strakonice (under the name of Fezko). The operation of these factories covers the period of 1844-1925. Other particularities concerning Jews before 1850 are as follows: the Jewish land register 1734-1880 and judicial matters divided according to agendas and names, namely the documents from 1850-1945, including M. Fürth's fund for poor children, Jewish affairs 1936-1940, measures against Jews, securing property and appointing an administrator of Jewish houses and lands 1936-1940."@eng . .
