"The personal fonds of historian Alena Hájková is a valuable source of information relating to the issue of racial discrimination against the Jewish population and the beginnings of Jewish resistance in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The fonds contains mainly her manuscripts of scientific works related to the anti-Nazi resistance with a focus on the Jewish resistance. The fonds contains manuscripts of works such as The List of Jews in 1939-1941, Participation of Jews in the Czech Resistance Movement, The Disappeared Ones in the First Months of the Occupation, and Administration in 1939-1941, and The Jews. The fonds also contains memories of resistance fighters of Jewish origin, which Alena Hájková herself recorded. These include the memories of Moritz Mittelmann, Pavel Kraus and Alexander Mahler of resistance activities during the Nazi occupation. In her works, she also traces the fate of resistance fighters before 1939 and maps their contribution to the anti-fascist movement after 1933, e.g. their participation in the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939. The collection also contains Alena Hájková's manuscript notes on the transport of Jews from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia to concentration camps and on the persecution of the Jewish population. The fonds also contains background materials for the examination of the resistance activities of individual underground groups operating in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and applications of the participants in the anti-Nazi domestic resistance for certificates of resistance activities under Act No. 255/1946 Sb., which PhDr. Alena Hájková prepared on the basis of testimonies and archival sources. The fonds also contains Alena Hájková's biographical materials relating to her resistance activities - e.g. her own biography, memories of relatives (among others, the memory of Margit Steinerová-Karpelesová), documents about the cooperation of Alena Hájková and Miloš Hájek with members of the left-wing Zionist organisation Hashomer Hacair, the diary of Jany Lebovič, etc."@eng .
