Despite first appearances they are not just collections of files thrown together, but each archive is carefully organized. To negotiate these collections, we have created\"Finding Aid\", which provide detailed descriptions of the contents of the archival collections. \r\n\r\nThe Finding Aid is made up of the actual table of contents on the left and the description in the main frame. The description can be made up of several parts such as: background information on the organisation or individuals discussed in the archive, related material, historical notes, restrictions, and a detailed description of the contents."@en ;

rico:history "The American Sephardi Federation is a membership organisation dedicated to recording, remembering, and rejoicing in the rich mosaic culture of Jews from the Middle East and Greater Sephardic Diaspora. ASF was founded in 1973 and merged with Sephardic House in June 2002. ASF/SH maintains the only Sephardic Library and Archives in the Western Hemisphere available to the general public.\r\n\r\nThe American Sephardi Federation, a Partner of the landmark Center for Jewish History, proudly preserves and promotes the history, traditions, and rich mosaic culture of Greater Sephardic communities as an integral part of the Jewish experience.
