The Central State Archives of Ukraine houses a total of 1435 fonds in permanent storage, which are categorized into three main sections: personal fonds, fonds of state institutions, creative unions and public organizations, and collections. The collections consist of various types of materials, including textual documents, theatre posters and programmes, book graphics, bookplates, albums, photographs, and illustrations.

The Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of the Ukrainian SSR is an archival repository and museum, a central archival institution that provides registration, storage, acquisition, scientific and technical arrangement, and use of documents of the National Archival Fond of Ukraine on the history of Ukrainian culture, literature, and art of the 18th-20th centuries. The Archive-Museum was established on May 4, 1966, and was initially located in the premises of the Central State Historical Archive of the Ukrainian SSR in Kyiv at 22 Volodymyrska Street.
Since 1992, the archive has been known as the Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine.
Archival guides, a number of catalogs of various exhibitions are prepared by the Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine.
Reading room working hours: Monday to Thursday: 9am-4pm with no lunch break.
The fund comprises documents pertaining to the literature, art, and culture of Ukraine during the 18th-20th centuries. It also includes biographical and epistolary materials, manuscripts, graphic works, and photographs of notable figures from various cultural spheres, including writers, literary critics, composers, artists, sculptors, architects, actors, singers, directors, conductors, choirmasters, choreographers, and others.
Additionally, the archive-museum houses the collections of various cultural and educational institutions, societies, and organizations engaged in activities related to literature, journalism, art, and architecture.
In addition to its archival repositories, the Archive-Museum features exhibition halls with permanent exhibitions, rooms dedicated to prominent figures of Ukrainian literature and culture, and extensive library collections.
