rico:history "Archive was established in 1929, as the archive of Communist Party and\"V.I. Lenin Party Institut\" branch is Rostov on Don. From 1939 it was operating as the Communist Party archive of the Rostov Oblast. \r\n\r\nDuring the Second World War, in 1941 archive documents were evacuated to Stalingrad, and in 1942 to Uralsk in Western Kazakhstan Oblast. What was a rare exception, all of the documents survived Second World War. The Archive was reestablished in Rostov on Don in 1944. \r\n\r\nIn 1988 the Archive was relocated into the new building. In 1991 the party Archive was reorganized into the Center for Documentation of Contemporary History of Rostov Oblast."@en ;
