Since 2009 the municipality of Hillegom has a joint arrangement with the municipality of Leiden concerning archive management. Visual material of Hillegom can be found at the website of ErfgoedLeiden. The archives of the municipality of Hillegom from the period 1575-1990 have been transferred to Erfgoed Leiden e.o. These archives are in principle public.
