The archival holdings contain property and financial assets declarations (1943). The main bulk of the archival material covers the postwar period; the meeting minutes of the Assembly and Council, books of births, marriages and deaths, censuses, judicial decisions, correspondence with local and central Greek governmental authorities, correspondence among Jewish communities and Jewish organizations in Greece and abroad, application for German reparations, lists of Holocaust victims, a part of the Archives of the Jewish Community in Kavala, private collections (Ilan Karmi).

The Jewish Community of Thessaloniki reorganized the postwar Archives in 2009. The programme of digitization of the Archives (sponsored by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Claims Conference) was completed in the summer 2012.

The reading room is open from Monday to Friday: 08:00 am to 15:00 pm (only by appointment). The Archives are closed on public and religious holidays.
The Archives of the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki are open to researchers upon approval of relevant application form.
The Archives of the Community are housed in a spacious, comfortable and safe place on 26, Vas. Irakliou Str.
A comfortable space is available for researchers.
Photocopies of the archival material may be given by the responsible employees of the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki at their own discreation. Photographing the archival material is prohibited. The publication of the archival material without prior consent is prohibited.
