ehri:conditionsOfAccess "The Archives are open to all citizens, regardless of age or nationality.\r\nRegistration is free of charge after filling in a form and on presentation of a valid identity document (national identity card, passport, driving licence).\r\nThe form can be filled out in advance by you and handed in at the reception desk on arrival, if you wish to save a few minutes, but it is not an online registration.\r\nA reader's card, bearing your personal number and a bar code, allows you to access the reading room after leaving your bags and belongings in the cloakroom and to consult the documents. It is given to you at the same time as the internal regulations, which you must read.\r\n\r\nWhen you arrive in the reading room, you will be welcomed by the room supervisor.\r\n\r\nHe or she will guide you in your research, without taking your place, and will direct you to the documents you need to consult, unless you have already located the resources you need by browsing the site.\r\n\r\nRequests are made on a self-service computer and are grouped together at the time of collection, between 8.45 and 11.30 am and between 1.30 and 4.45 pm.\r\n\r\nThe documents, which are unique and irreplaceable, can only be consulted in the reading room and cannot be borrowed.\r\n\r\nThey are given to you one by one to avoid any risk of being downgraded. They must be handled with the utmost care and notes may only be taken with a pencil to avoid indelible marks.\r\n\r\nLaptop computers and cameras may be used. Food and drink are not allowed.\r\n\r\nThe reading room is a place of work where silence is required and respect and courtesy are the rule."@en ;
