Horserødmuseet
Saturday 22 June 2002 is the date on which the Horserød Tenants' Museum was inaugurated. The small 62 square metre museum is housed in Horserød's old smithy and is located just opposite the main entrance to the current state prison. The Horserød Camp Museum focuses on the war years 1940-44, but also shows the history of the camp from its establishment in 1917 as a prisoner of war camp for sick and wounded Russian soldiers. The united Danish collaborationist politicians' violation of the constitution and the assaults on communists, Spanish volunteers, cultural personalities, many humanists and other anti-Nazis are commemorated here.
