Staatsarchiv des Kantons Basel-Landschaft

The Basel-Landschaft State Archive is the central archive of the cantonal administration. It is responsible for preserving and making documents available. By ensuring a lasting, reliable and authentic tradition, it serves legal security on the one hand and forms the basis for research on the other. The State Archives assists the services of the cantonal administration in organising their file management and decides which documents should be preserved for legal or historical reasons. It is also a centre of expertise in electronic archiving.
