Živnostenské spoločenstvo v Košiciach  

The Tradesmen Association of Košice was one of the largest institutions in which small industrialists and tradesmen were grouped. The local Jewry was represented in large numbers not only in the membership of the association, but also in its management. According to the Hungarian census of December 1938, about 50.4% of the Jews of Košice were employed in industry and trade. The association represented the interests of this group. As a result of the anti-Jewish laws, after 1938 Jewish tradesmen have gradually lost their rights and their association membership too, which is documented in this archival fonds too.
