Okresný ľudový súd v Kráľovskom Chlmci 1946 - 1947
District People’s Courts (Okresný ľudový súd) in the Slovak part of post-WWII Czechoslovakia were set up to punish the occupants, traitors, and collaborators to the wartime Nazi-regime and their allies. The Slovak part of the country adopted its own retributive legislation in the form of the Regulation of the Slovak National Council No. 33/1945 Coll. While in the Czech part of the country, the tribunals only existed at the regional level and had to include members with a degree in law. In the Slovak part, the tribunals were created at several levels, including locally, and the presence of lawyers was not required. The documents of the collection of the District People´s Court of Kráľovský Chlmec were handed over to the State Archives of Košice in 1961.
