Papers of Dr Adolf Bchler
Adolf Bchler (1867-1939) was born in Priekopa, Hungary. He studied at Budapest, Breslau and Leipzig, obtaining a doctorate in philosophy in the last for a study on Hebrew accents. Bchler moved to England and worked for some time under his uncle, Adolf Neubauer, of the Bodleian Library. He then moved to the newly formed rabbinic seminary at Vienna before returning to England, to Jews' College, London, in 1906.
