Okresní úřad Valašské Meziříčí
The district governor's office in Valašské Meziříčí was established in 1850 and included 3 court districts (Valašské Meziříčí, Vsetín, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm). The office performed the political administration of the district. It was headed by the district governor. In 1854, the governor's office was divided into three mixed district offices. In 1868, the governor's office was restored. In 1919-28, the name was changed to the district political administration. During the Nazi occupation, the territory administered by the autonomous authorities of the Protectorate administration was supervised by the so-called Oberlandrat, later by the"Reich Comman" Reichsauftragsverwaltung. In 1945, national committees were established.
