On 26 May 1855, the District Mixed Office was established. It was abolished on 31 August 1868, and only the court remained in its place. In the years 1868–1905, there was no political administration office at the district level in Humpolec. The district was administered by the District Governor's Office in Německý (today Havlíčkův) Brod. The independent District Governor's Office in Humpolec was established on 1 July 1910, renamed the District Political Administration in 1919. On 1 December 1928 self-government became state administration and merged with the Political Office in the Humpolec District Office, which existed until the end of World War II. In 1945 it was replaced by the Humpolec District National Committee.
