In 1850, the Velvary court district was established belonging to the Slaný governor's office, where Kralupy also belonged to. In 1855, a mixed district office was established in Velvary, including the Kralupy district, too. After its abolition in 1868, Kralupy belonged to the district governor's office in Slaný. The Kralupy District Court was established in 1912, and the district governor's office in 1913, renamed in 1918 the political district administration. In 1927 it was renamed the district office again. Between 1939 and 1945, the office was put under the supervision of the Nazi authorities, being subject to the Oberlandrat in Kladno. After 1945, the district national committee was established.
