Okresní úřad Hořice 
The District Governor's Office was established as a political administration office in 1850. In 1855, a mixed district office (judicial and political administration) was established. In 1868, it was abolished and all official activities were transferred to the District Governor's Office in Hradec Králové. In 1910, a political branch of the District Governor's Office in Nová Paka was established in Hořice, renamed in 1919 to the District Political Administration and in 1928 to the District Office. An independent District Office with its seat in Hořice was established by a government decree of 26 April 1935. It was abolished in 1942, and in May 1945 a District National Committee was established in Hořice.
