Marie and Adolf Isenberg were married in March, 1941. They were deported to a Concentration camp on January 24, 1942. They were seperated and spent the rest of the war in various camps. Both were liberated by the Russians and slowly started the trek westward back into Germany. During this, at a rest station, Marie (Mika) and Adolf found each other - both were half dead. They did regain strength and a certain degree of health, although both were ill for the rest of their lives. Particularly Adolf, who never fully recovered and"lived with one foot in the grav" until his death on June 23, 1972.
