Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Source of acquisition is the Państwowe Muzeum Oświęcim-Brzezinka, Poland (State Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau). Memoirs were contributed by former prisoners of the Auschwitz-Birkenau, written after the end of the war, and collected by the Archives at the State Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau in Oświęcim. The collection is open, which means that memoirs and testimonies are still being collected. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in April 2007. This is an ongoing project.
