This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.\n\nFrom 1950 through 1995 records of the Budapest People's Court and the Budapest Criminal Court were in the custody of the Hungarian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the state agency overseeing the country's law enforcement organizations, including its secret police. Following the dissolution of the communist system and its organizations, the records were transferred to a newly established archives (called Történeti Hivatal - Office of History - , and later renamed as Állambiztonsági Szolgálatok Történeti Levéltára, ABTL (Historical Archives of State Security Agencies), and to the Budapest Főváros Levéltára, BFL (Budapest City Archives). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's International Archives Project received 584 microfilms in May 2005, and in 2007 an additional shipment of 163 microfilms."@eng . .
