Dennis Thayer donated this document to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Apr. 13, 2004. His aunt, Mercedes Morton gave him the letter, which she had received from a soldier (possibly Mr. Rutan) after World War II, while she was employed at the Rossford (Ohio) Army Ordinance.
