Source of acquisition is the Derz︠h︡avnyĭ arkhiv Vinnyt︠s︡ʹkoï oblasti (Vinnitsa Oblast Archive), Ukraine.The records were created by Romanian and German authorities in the course of the Romanian occupation of the region and were left in the Vinnytsia oblast area when the authorities retreated. They were probably used by Soviet security agencies prior to being transferred to the Vinnytsia State Oblast Archive, from which USHMM acquired them.
